The Baptism With The Holy Spirit
Matt 3:11 I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. NIV

They Received the Baptism

When You Pray in Tongues Your Spirit is Praying Directly to God and You are uttering mysteries with your spirit
1 Cor 14:1-2 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.
When You Pray in Tongues You Are Built Up/Edified
1 Cor 14:3-5 But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. How Do I Receive the Holy Spirit
- You must be born-again (Romans 10:9-10)
- Remember Jesus is the Baptizer (Matthew 3:11; John 7:37-39)
- Just as salvation is a free gift – the baptism is a free gift
